The World In Its Winter
Nights are long, even the days seem spun out
Our bleak world betrayed by what is yet to be
Lights off
The fuse out
Our way of seeing disrupted
Sit
Wait
In silence
Burdensome
Strenuous
Yes!
The world in its winter
Our inner lives
Demanding we emerge
With a greater sense of grace
Winter, the coldest of seasons
It knows something we’ve yet to grasp
