This painting-sculpture hybrid contains graphite, fabric, cardboard, acrylic paint, rope and collected objects from the real world including: Rare Bruce Springsteen concert tickets spanning 1980-2003, various Springsteen scrapbook newspaper clippings from 1985, an original cassette tape of ‘The Rising’ album and portions of a New Jersey road map. 30 x 24 in. on wood panel.
2022 celebrates the 20th anniversary of Springsteen’s album, 'The Rising'.
At its center, ‘The Rising’ is an album about 9/11. It debuted at No. 1 in 2002, Springsteen’s first studio record to hit the top since ‘Tunnel of Love.’ It eventually went double platinum.
